Franklin Lakes teen Derynn Scine, a student at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, received honors from the Governor for Environmental Excellence.
Together with her Science teacher, Lisamarie Perini, Scine has worked for more than three years to create an environmental club at her all-girl school. Their organization "Go Green Revolution" has gained a large amount of support. They have worked to enact positive environmental changes in the school and community.
