Baby Formula Needed: Help Afghan Refugees In Bergen County

The Bergen Co. Sheriff's Office is partnering with several other organizations in collecting baby food and formula to help Afghan refugees.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Baby formula and food are needed for new parents who arrived in New Jersey from Afghanistan last year.

The Bergen County Sheriff's Office is partnering with several other organizations in collecting baby food and formula to help Afghan refugees with newborns.

The sheriff's office will partner with Catholic Charities Diocese of Trenton, the New Jersey State Police, and the New Jersey Muslim Officers Society.

Catholic Charities said there are more than 100 women in their third trimester of pregnancy currently; more than 100 babies have been born since last August.

Donations can be dropped off at the Bergen County Sheriff's Office from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The sheriff's office address is 2 Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack.
