Glori Lee has been rehabilitating since she was critically injured in a motor vehicle crash in Harrington Park Jan. 2.

A Bergen County 8-year-old girl is coming home six weeks after she was critically injured in a horrific motor vehicle crash in Harrington Park, her father announced.

Glori Lee will be discharged from the hospital next week, her father, Hans said in an update posted on Facebook. The family lives in Norwood.

"Rehab has been very good for Glori. Almost every day, Glori has advanced leaps and bounds," Hans Lee said.

"Glori has not once complained about pain, shown discomfort or fall into despair," Hans Lee said. "The word strong in the dictionary should be replaced with a picture of Glori, for that is what she truly is."

Lee had a shattered skull, blood clogs in her spine, punctures to her small intestines, and swelling of the brain following the crash. She has four major surgeries coming up on her skull, face, and back. Surgeons will reconstruct part of her face that was severely injured.

Lee indicated that she remembers the accident that severely injured her, Hans Lee previously said. (See related: 8-Year-Old, Woman Critical After Bergen Car Crash: Prosecutor)

Lee's father thanked others for their support and prayers throughout the ordeal.

"The support and prayers is the reason we are able to continue and the explanation of Glori's miraculous recovery," Hans Lee said. "Thank you again and again for everything you are doing for us and continuing to support our family."
