Bergen County Brings In The Choppers For Mosquito Control
Bergen County will conduct aerial control measures via helicopter on Thursday. Here's where.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Heavy rain brought on by Tropical Storm Henri have reinvigorated mosquito concerns in Bergen County, but officials announced they are acting swiftly.
Bergen County Mosquito Control will be "larviciding" areas of the county, including locations in Ridgewood, Paramus and Franklin Lakes on Thursday between 6:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
That application will be done by helicopter, officials announced, adding that it "will help to drastically reduce the mosquito breeding in the park wetland areas."

The helicopter is set to fly over a number of other communities in the county, including:
- Franklin Lakes
- Little Ferry
- Teterboro
- Moonachie
- Park Ridge
- Ridgefield Park
- North Arlington
- Paramus
- Closter
- Lyndhurst
- Ridgewood
