Bergen County Businesses Ranked On Forbes' Best Employers List

Forbes named six Bergen County businesses to its annual list of best large companies to work for.

The Bergen County companies to make the list were:

• No. 112 Volvo Group Automotive, Rockleigh
• No. 194, Unilever, Englewood Cliffs
• No. 326 Cognizant IT, Teaneck
• No. 336 Samsung Electronics Semiconductors, Ridgefield Park
• No. 346 BMW Group Automotive, Woodcliff Lake
• No. 464 Ascena Retail Group, Mahwah

The rankings of America's best large employers, those companies with more than 5,000 employees, placed tire manufacturer Michelin at the top of the list while the grocery chain Trader Joe's took the No. 2 spot and Google came in at No. 3.

Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to compile the list. Statista surveyed 30,000 people, asking respondents to rate how likely they'd be to recommend their employer to others, Forbes explains. Respondents were also asked to nominate organizations outside of their own, according to Forbes.
