Bergen County Traffic Stop Turns Up $8K Cash, Results In Laundering Charge For Driver

After detectives stopped a car in Bergen County during a drug investigation, they found $8K and arrested the driver, from Pennsylvania.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Detectives who stopped a car in Bergen County last week during a drug investigation found $8,000 inside and charged the driver with money laundering, prosecutors said Friday.

Shengjin Wu, 31, of Willow Grove, Pa., was arrested on the third-degree laundering charge, said the Office of Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

The arrest came after "detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle as it traveled through Bergen County," prosecutors said.
