Bergen County's Mira Sorvino Says Harvey Weinstein Sexually Harassed Her: Report
Sorvino, a Tenafly native, said 'I think it's high time this came out.'

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Academy Award-winning actress and Tenafly native Mira Sorvino confirmed a recent report by The New Yorker that Hollywood film mogul Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her.
"It's a travesty that this sort of behavior is normalized and accepted for decades in this industry," Sorvino told a Los Angeles news network. "And I am very pleased that this is all coming to light. These are very bad things he did."
Sorvino alleges in The New Yorker report that she was lured into Weinstein's hotel room at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1995 while she was promoting the film "Mighty Aphrodite," for which she won an Academy Award for best supporting actress. Weinstein allegedly massaged her shoulders and tried to "get more physical," with Sorvino.
