Bergen Man Charged With Aggravated Manslaughter In Teen's Homicide: Prosecutor

Man allegedly stabbed teen in the leg, authorities said.

A Bergen County man was charged with aggravated manslaughter following the stabbing homicide of a teenager in Edgewater earlier this week, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Khari Noerdlinger, 19, was charged with aggravated manslaughter after he stabbed a teenager, identified only as “S.L.” during an altercation Sunday night, Grewal said.

Authorities determined that “S.L.”, Mirleny Tremols, 23, Kevensky Lubin, 18, Richard Jean-Pierre, 18, and Calim Gaspard, 23, went to 276 Old River Road at about 10:30 p.m. to participate in an armed robbery, Grewal said.

Tremols, Lubin, Jean-Pierre, and Gaspard confronted Noerdlinger and “an altercation” occurred during which Noerdlinger allegedly stabbed “S.L.”, who died at Palisades General Hospital early Feb. 1, Grewal said.

The Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office said the cause of death was a stab wound to the femoral artery in the teenager’s right leg, Grewal said. The death was ruled a homicide.

Noerdlinger and the others took steps to remove evidence from the vicinity of the altercation, Grewal said.

Noerdlinger was also charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and hindering apprehension. His bail was set at $500,000 with no 10 percent option. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

Tremols, Lubin, Jean-Pierre, and Gaspard were each charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Bail for each was set at $750,000 with no 10 percent option. They were all remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
