Bergen, Passaic School Executive Retiring
Midland Park resident Robert Gilmartin oversaw nearly 100 school districts.

The man tasked with reviewing school budgets and superintendent contracts for Passaic and Bergen counties is retiring Friday, NorthJersey.com reported.
Robert Gilmartin, 70, was the state Department of Education’s executive county superintendent for nearly 100 school districts. As executive superintendent, Gilmartin, a Midland Park resident, had the authority to veto local education budgets.
