Board Of Education Trustee Appointed To Fill Vacant Wyckoff Committee Seat

Board of Education trustee John Carolan has been appointed to finish the Township Committee term of Douglas Christie.

Carolan was sworn into office June 1, NorthJersey.com reported. Christie resigned from the position May 1 because he is moving out of town.

Carolan had to resign from his position on the zoning board to accept the committee position. Carolan will serve on the committee for the rest of the year. Voters will decide who fills the seat in 2016 and 2017 in the General Election in November. Christie’s term expires in 2017.

“I am very excited to be serving in this new role,” Carolan told the website. “This opportunity was extended to me and I considered it a different challenge.”
