Body Inside Missing Woman's Car Found In Passaic River Not Yet Identified, Report Says
Devorah Stubin, 22, was last seen in Maywood Thursday, police said. Car was pulled from the river Saturday.

WALLINGTON, NJ - License plates on a car pulled out of the Passaic River Saturday matched those of a missing Passaic woman’s car, authorities said.
Decorah Stubin, 22, was last seen in Maywood Thursday, Wallington Police Capt. Kim Lucas told The Record. Lucas said in the report that a body was found in the car, but said she couldn’t confirm the identity.
Authorities and volunteers from several Orthodox Jewish groups from nearby towns and New York searched for Stubin for two days, who reportedly suffered from epilepsy, according to the report.

The car was found after the owner of the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home notified police Saturday afternoon that his fence along the river had been damaged; police found pieces of a car nearby, the report said.
Lucas said in the report that the vehicle rolled through the fence and down a steep embankment. It was found in about 10 feet of water.

Lucas said in the report that authorities are investigating the incident as a motor-vehicle crash, not a crime scene. Investigators from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office were also at the scene last night.
