Brian Hague and Chuck and Darlene Shotmeyer Co-chairs of Christian Health Care Center Gala
Every fall, Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) holds its A Celebration of Excellence gala
Every fall, Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) holds its A Celebration of Excellence gala, CHCC’s largest fundraising event. While it is not an annual practice to honor individuals or organizations, CHCC has identified and recognized key community leaders for their legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to our communities.
This year’s honorees will be Senator Kevin J. O’Toole, R-40, and LAN Associates of Midland Park. A Celebration of Excellence will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at The Venetian in Garfield. All funds raised from the event will benefit continued renovations to CHCC’s Longview Assisted Living Residence, including The Courtyard – a dedicated space for memory support and early dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Brian Hague, and Chuck and Darlene Shotmeyer are this year’s gala Co-chairs of the event. Mr. Hague is Vice President of MWW’s Public Affairs department in East Rutherford and Trenton. He has more than 16 years of experience in both corporate and government communications. He started his career as a newspaper reporter for the Star-Ledger before becoming a staff member of the Assembly Democratic Office in the New Jersey Legislature. He has held numerous communications and management positions at every level of New Jersey government and he continues to work closely in the private sector with many of the region’s policy makers, elected officials, and members of the media.

“The funds raised from the gala allow CHCC to continue offering best-in-class assisted-living services for so many of our parents and grandparents,” said Mr. Hague. “It’s an honor to help CHCC set the gold standard in this growing and vitally important industry.”
Chuck and Darlene Shotmeyer, as well as the entire Shotmeyer family, are long-time friends and supporters of CHCC. Mr. Shotmeyer also served as CHCC’s Chief Financial Officer from 1994 to 1997. Currently, he is the President of Shotmeyer Bros. Inc., an energy, heating, and air conditioning company.

“Last year I was honored to serve on the Gala Committee, and so to be selected as a Co-chair is also a great honor,” said Mr. Shotmeyer. “CHCC has been there for my family and friends when they needed services that the Center offers. I have great admiration for its Christian mission and am looking forward to participating in this year’s event.”
“Chuck and I were so pleased to be asked to serve as Co-chairs for Christian Health Care Center’s upcoming A Celebration of Excellence gala,” said Mrs. Shotmeyer. “The Center has always been a very important part of our community and has a long history and tradition of providing compassionate care in a Christian environment, and I am delighted to be involved in this exciting event.”
