On Sunday, May 17, Parlance Chamber Concerts’ 18th season will conclude with a star-studded, all-Brahms finale. The acclaimed violinist Chee-Yun will be joined by two extraordinary young artists: cellist Sterling Elliott, praised for his “astonishing maturity” (The Millbrook Independent), and pianist Henry Kramer, whose Brahms playing has been described as “thrilling and nearly flawless” (Cleveland Classical Review).
The program opens with Brahms’s dramatic Violin Sonata in D minor, followed by the lyrical Cello Sonata in F major. The concert culminates in the towering Piano Trio in B minor, uniting all three artists in a powerful and expressive close to the season.PROGRAM:

The annual Crafts in the Park Show will be held on Sunday, June 7, from 10 to 5 at Veterans Park, Broadway and 3rd
Ave in Westwood, NJ. Make sure you mark your calendar for this much awaited craft show. One hundred and twenty-five talented exhibitors from four states will be displaying a large variety of arts and crafts all set up on the grounds of this picturesque park. This promises to be a fun shopping day for all. The show is sponsored by Westwood Heritage Society and organized by P.J.’s Promotions.
This is the perfect opportunity to browse the booths filled with a wonderful selection of pottery, jewelry, garden décor, chain saw animals, wood flags, apparel, fiber, stained glass, bonsai, ceramics, charcuterie boards, and birdhouses. Also, outdoor wood decor, paintings, prints, photography, soaps, candles, fiber, tie dye, totes, children’s items, florals, turned wood bowls, resin art, and so much more. The event takes place on June 13 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, bringing together the entire community for an unforgettable day of patriotism, entertainment, and family fun.&nbsp;
We are currently accepting vendor applications, but space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
Freedom Fest will feature an incredible lineup of live entertainment, including performances by Grace Notes Brass Ensemble, The Benjamins, 17 North Band, and Phantom DJ, creating an energetic atmosphere throughout the day. Guests will enjoy a wide variety of food trucks, artisan and craft vendors, kids’ games and activities, and a spectacular fireworks show to close out the night.&nbsp;Be sure to stop by the Beer Tavern sponsored by the Franklin Lakes Football Booster Club — a great spot to relax and support our local athletes.
A highlight of the day will be a special community parade led by Jack Wallace, 3-time Paralympic Gold Medalist in sled hockey, as we celebrate his achievements along with all former and current Franklin Lakes professional athletes. This moment will honor not only Jack’s incredible accomplishment, but also our town’s proud athletic tradition, the Franklin Lakes War Eagles, and the rich history of our community.
This event is expected to draw a large crowd, making it an excellent opportunity for vendors to showcase their products and connect with the community in a high-energy, patriotic setting.
