Car Flips Over On Route 80 In Morris County, Ejecting Driver: State Police

A Connecticut man has been hospitalized after his car flipped over on Route 80 in Morris County on Thursday morning, police said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Connecticut man has been hospitalized after his car flipped over on Route 80 East in Morris County early Thursday morning, ejecting him, police said.

State police said that around 12:59 p.m., a Norwalk man lost control of his Volvo, ran off the roadway to the left, struck a concrete barrier, re-entered the highway, ran off the other side of the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.

At some point, the driver was ejected from the car, said Trooper Troy McNair, a spokesman for the state police.

The 40-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital, McNair said.

The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available, police said.
