Cash, Cameras Taken From Unlocked Franklin Lakes Vehicles, Police Say

4 vehicles were burglarized Thursday, police said.

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — Purses, cash, a wallet, a passport, and other personal items were stolen from four unlocked vehicles on Oak Lane and Mable Place Thursday, police said.

All the burglaries occurred overnight Thursday, Capt. John Bakelaar said.

A backpack and a small purse containing a bracelet were taken from the Oak Lane vehicle, Bakelaar said.

Two purses, a GoPro camera, cash, a wallet, digital camera, a passport, and credit cards were taken from three vehicles parked in a Mable Place driveway, Bakelaar said.

Police want to remind residents to lock their vehicles overnight.
