Christian Health Care Center and the Alzheimer's Association Present Dementia Conversations

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) and the Alzheimer’s Association will present a Dementia Conversations workshop from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, September 22 at the CHCC Auditorium, 700 Mountain Ave., Wyckoff. Presenters will be Teresa DeLellis, LSW, Social Work Director, Heritage Manor Nursing Home at CHCC and Claire Day, Senior Vice President, Alzheimer’s Association.

The workshop will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about deciding when to stop driving, going to the doctor, and making legal and financial plans.

“Being a caregiver and/or family member of a dementia patient is very overwhelming,” said Ms. DeLellis. “This workshop will offer family members an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns.”
