Christian Health Care Center Honors Health-care Heroes

Christian Health Care Center’s (CHCC) annual A Celebration of Excellence gala will be take place on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 7 p.m. In an effort to support the community, CHCC has partnered with local restaurants including Bottagra in Hawthorne, Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, Vila Verde in Wayne, and The Brick House and 3 Chicas Mexican Kitchen in Wyckoff, for at-home “dine and wine” packages. The virtual event will include a special musical performance and an online auction.

“When planning our event this year, it was extremely important to our board and leadership team to honor our caring and hardworking team members. The selfless dedication they demonstrated throughout the pandemic enabled us to continue to provide exceptional care for our patients, residents, clients, and consumers – even in the most challenging of circumstances,” said Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, President and CEO of CHCC. “The proceeds from this year’s event supports CHCC’s 2020 Annual Fund and our response to COVID-19. Additionally, funds raised from this year’s gala are dedicated to CHCC’s gratitude and recognition rewards for health-care heroes.”

Attendees can join the gala-at-home festivities through special “dine and wine” packages from a variety of local restaurants. For every gala-at-home “dine and wine” dinner package purchased through our virtual gala, a special meal will be provided to families of Christian Health Care Adult Day Service programs of Wayne and Wyckoff, as well as community families in need.

“Without a doubt, the financial impact from this pandemic continues to be significant to many local businesses and restaurants,” said Julie Lee, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing & Development Officer at CHCC. “Through our gala this year, we are giving back to our community while also honoring the many deserving health-care heroes who continue to inspire all of us through their care and dedication on the frontlines.”
