Christian Health Care Center Values Employees and Offers Annual Health and Wellness Fair
For the past 16 years, CHCC has offered an Employee Health and Wellness Fair for all staff.
Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff is not only dedicated to providing compassionate quality care to its residents, patients, clients, and consumers, but is also very committed to fostering health, healing, and wellness for its more than 900 employees. For the past 16 years, CHCC has offered an Employee Health and Wellness Fair for all staff. Committee Chair Gayle Whitelaw, Benefits Manager, and Committee Co-chair Barbara Lucia, RN, BSN, LTC-SSC, CHCC’s Employee Health Nurse, with support from an employee Live Well Health and Wellness Committee, organized this extensive event. Employees fill out a brief survey following the fair, and the response is always overwhelmingly positive.
The theme of the health fair was “Journey to a Healthier You.” The event featured more than 35 vendors providing a broad range of health and wellness information and activities, including nutrition, fitness, health screenings, massage therapy, dental health, spiritual care, Reiki, skin care, essential oils, chiropractic care, yoga, podiatry, and mental health.. CHCC is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of its staff, since a healthy staff is better equipped to focus on the health of our patients, residents, clients, and consumers.
“Overall it’s a wonderful day full of valuable information and great networking for our employees who work so diligently to maintain the standards of the Center,” said Ms. Lucia.
