Congressional Candidate Josh Gottheimer Launches Clean Water Initative
Gottheimer, a Democratic candidate for New Jersey's 5th Congressional District, calls for 'immediate lead testing in every public school.'

WYCKOFF, N.J. - Josh Gottheimer, a Democratic candidate who is running to represent New Jersey's 5th Congressional District, recently released a plan to make the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency more accountable for the public's drinking water.
Gottheimer, a Wyckoff native, created a petition recently calling for immediate lead testing in every public school.
Gottheimer also wants the EPA to "immediately set safety standards for carcinogens that are found in the drinking water" of many district municipalities.

The agency must, Gottheimer said, "explain to communities the best steps to keep our water safe."

The 5th Congressional District includes: Fair Lawn, Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, Hillsdale, Mahwah, New Milford, Northvale, Norwood, Oakland, Paramus, Ramsey, Ridgewood, Washington Township, Westwood, and Wyckoff, and part of Teaneck.
