Deaf Bergen Man Missing In Newark: Police
A South Bergen man who is hearing impaired has been missing for more than a week, Newark public safety officials say.

NEWARK, NJ — A South Bergen man who is hearing impaired has been missing for more than a week, Newark public safety officials say.
James Dugan II, of Carlstadt, had planned to meet a woman in Newark on Thursday, Jan. 27. Dugan did not meet the woman and his family has not heard from him since, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.
Police issued an alert asking for the public's help on Feb. 4.

Dugan is 5'10" and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes, a scar on his face and head, and has tattoos on his back and arms, according to police. Dugan is 90 percent deaf.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Newark Division of Public Safety's 24-hour tip line at at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips can be confidential. Anonymous tips may also be submitted online and through the Newark Police Division app.
