Driver Charged With Sexually Assaulting Wyckoff Woman: Prosecutor
Al-quon Hopkins, 31, sexually assaulted someone outside her home after she used an online car service, authorities said.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — A driver with an online car service is accused of sexually assaulting a township woman outside her home, authorities said.
Al-quon Hopkins, 31, of Paterson, was charged with aggravated sexual assault after the victim used an online car service for which Hopkins worked for, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said in a news release.
Hopkins seuxally assaulted the victim in the vicinity of her driveway, Grewal said; she then contacted the Wyckoff Police Department early Monday morning, who contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and a joint investigation began, Grewal said.

As a result of the investigation, Hopkins was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, the prosecutor said.
Bergen County Superior Court Judge Susan J. Steele set Hopkins' bail at $250,000 with no 10 percent cash option. If released on bail, Hopkins must turn in his passport, cannot work as a driver, and cannot have any contact with the victim, Grewal said.

Grewal did not specify what driver service Hopkins worked for. Grewal's office said it does not identify employers.
