Drunk Wyckoff Woman Drove On Wrong Side Of The Road -- Twice, Police Say

Nancy I. Acquaviva of Wyckoff was charged with reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.

WYCKOFF, NJ - A Wyckoff woman allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road twice in a span of a few minutes on Jan. 13, police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

Patrolman Michael Film was in the Cedar Hill Shopping Center parking lot when he allegedly saw a vehicle on Cedar Hill Avenue traveling on the wrong side of the road, Fox said.

The vehicle turned right onto Sicomac Avenue where it was again driven on the wrong side of the roadway and then crossed the center line several times, Fox said.

Driver Nancy I. Acquaviva, 59, of Wyckoff, was stopped on Terhune Terrace near Sicomac Avenue where she was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, police said.

Following a breath test at police headquarters, Acquaviva was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to stop for a stop sign, and failure to keep to the right, Fox said.

She was released to her husband and is scheduled to appear in Wyckoff Municipal Court Jan. 27, police reported.
