On January 14, at approximately 11:15 AM, P.O. Robert Schlossberg was monitoring traffic on Route 208 North. He observed a black Toyota Corolla pass his location travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped, and the subsequent investigation resulted in the arrests of the driver, Darren Davis, Bronx NY, age; 25 and passenger, Rondell McIver, Bronx NY, age; 29. Davis was charged with one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for being an unlicensed driver and failure to keep right. McIver was charged with one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Both men were processed and released from headquarters pending a court date.

On January 17, at approximately 3:50 AM, P.O. Joseph Benanti observed a white Infiniti Q50 on Cedar Hill Avenue driving too closely to the vehicle in front of it. He further observed that the driver of the Infiniti failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Cedar Hill Avenue and Sicomac Avenue. The vehicle was stopped, and the subsequent investigation resulted in the arrests of the driver, Nelson Quesada-Aristy, Englewood NJ, age; 29 and passenger, David Santos, Newark NJ, age; 27. Quesada-Aristy was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, failure to stop at a stop sign, following too closely, failure to maintain a lane, and reckless driving. Santos was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Both men were processed and remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
Jan. 17
On January 17 at approximately 11:00 AM, P.O. Kyle Scherm was advised of an erratic driver on Monroe Avenue. He located the vehicle, a white Ford Ranger, travelling on Wyckoff Avenue and stopped it. The subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Francesco Fiore, North Haledon NJ, age; 69. He was transported into headquarters and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. After processing, he was released to a family member. His vehicle was impounded and held for twelve hours under John’s Law.
Jan. 26
On January 26, at approximately 11:30 AM, a Wyckoff business owner reported that items were stolen from his business. While checking security video, he determined that an employee was most likely responsible for the thefts. An investigation was conducted by Det. Sgt. Mark Tagliareni and Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci. They received information that the employee had sold some of the stolen items to a business in Moonachie, NJ. They were able to recover the stolen items at this location as well as confirm the identity of the suspect. Their investigation resulted in the arrest of Thomas Bowers, Prospect Park NJ, age; 33. On February 3, with assistance from the Prospect Park Police Department, Bowers was arrested at his home. He was transported into headquarters, charged with one count of 2nd degree theft, and remanded to the Bergen County Jail. After his arrest, additional items were recovered by Det. Sgt. Tagliareni at a business in Randolph, NJ.

Feb. 19
On February 19, at approximately 11:45 PM, P.O. Kevin Oldewurtel observed a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee disregard a red traffic signal at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Godwin Avenue. He stopped the vehicle in the area of Crescent Avenue and while speaking with the driver, noted signs of impairment. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Juan Gomez, Waldwick NJ, age; 26. He was transported into headquarters and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to observe a traffic control device. After processing, he was released to a family member. His vehicle was impounded and held for twelve hours under John’s Law.
