Edgar Allan Poe's New York

Though many cities have links to Poe, the Big Apple was where he lived the longest as an adult, as well as his last home before his death. Attorney, journalist and licensed tour guide Benjamin Waldman takes the audience on a walking tour from the comfort of their chairs to all the places Poe called home in New York, including the famous Poe Cottage in the Bronx. Through the use of slides, video and delightful anecdotes, Waldman takes us back in time and traces how the city as it was in the mid 19th century influenced Poe's life and work. Preregistration recommended.
