TEMPLE BETH RISHON WELCOMES RABBI SHAI HELD

Temple Beth Rishon welcomes the community to the next installment of its Food for Thought Distinguished Speaker Series, sponsored by the Fred Emert Memorial Adult Education Fund. The third program in the series, featuring Rabbi Shai Held, will take place at Temple Beth Rishon on Sunday, May 1st at 9:45 am.

Rabbi Held is co-founder, Dean and Chair in Jewish Thought at Mechon Hadar in New York, the first ever full time egalitarian yeshiva in North America. Rabbi Held will explore the very different ways two great Jewish thinkers, Maimonides and Abraham Joshua Heschel, viewed God. Come and discover whose view of God is closer to your own personal understanding – the rationalist or the mystic.

The program cost, which includes a breakfast buffet, is $12 for temple members and $18 for non-members. Please RSVP to the temple office at 201-891-4466 by April 28th.  For more information, visit www.bethrishon.org.
