Fire Destroys Franklin Lakes Home, Owners And Dogs Safe: Police
Police arrived to Cheyenne Drive early Monday morning to find a house "fully engulfed" in flames. No one was injured in the fire.
FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A devastating fire destroyed a Franklin Lakes home early Monday morning, but no one was injured in the fire, police said.
Officers arrived on the scene to find the home at 711 Cheyenne Dr. "fully engulfed" in flames.
The homeowners and their two dogs were asleep when the fire started, but all people and animals were able to evacuate the home safely, police said.

Fire departments from Wyckoff, Oakland, Mahwah, Waldwick and North Haledon also responded to the fire, as did the Franklin Lakes and Wyckoff Ambulance Corps. Police officials said the fire was under control by 2:21 a.m.
No injuries to fire personnel were reported.

Police said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
