Franklin Lakes Girl, 16, Fatally Struck By NJ Transit Train
The girl was hit in Clifton at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, an NJ Transit spokeswoman said.

A 16-year-old Franklin Lakes girl was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train early Sunday morning, a spokeswoman for the transportation service confirmed.
The girl was hit at about 5:30 a.m. just east of the Paterson Train Station in Clifton, said Lisa Torbic, an NJ Transit spokesperson.
The train was on the Main Line headed to Suffern, New York and not in service when the girl was struck, Torbic said. There were three crew members on the train when the girl was struck. None were injured.

Trans were delayed up to 20 minutes on the Main Line following the incident, but were running on or close to schedule by about 10:30 a.m.
Main Line service is subject to 20 minute delays in both directions due to an earlier trespasser fatality east of Paterson.
