Franklin Lakes Man Flooded Local Business, Caused More Than $5K In Damage: Police
Police arrested Matthew Guarriello, 21, after reviewing surveillance footage.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A borough man is accused of causing more than $5,000 worth of damage to Oakland Self Storage after he reportedly left a bathroom sink running and rerouted the water.
Matthew Guarriello, 21, of Franklin Lakes, was arrested after police received a complaint of criminal mischief at the business June 7, said Lt. Christian Eldridge.
The flooding occurred after a bathroom sink was left running and the water was rerouted, Eldridge said.

Police identified Guarriello after reviewing surveillance footage of the business' interior, the lieutenant said.
Police contacted Guarriello, who turned himself in at police headquarters, Eldridge said. Guarriello was processed and lodged at the Bergen County Jail pending judicial review, he said.
