Franklin Lakes Native Offering Tech Help to Businesses Hit by Sandy

Hurricane Sandy slammed families hard, but without power for 5 days now many businesses have lost the electronic infrastructure on which their livelihoods depend.    

Ross Lazerowitz, a Franklin Lakes-native, is an undergraduate student at Syracuse University majoring in information management and technology, who is returning home this weekend to offer help to businesses in need — free of charge.

"I can help get internet, printers, servers, computers and other peripherals up and running," Lazerowitz said. "Really anything IT related I can likely figure out. I have never worked with point of sale systems but I am good at reading the manual." 

Lazerowitz said he'd be in the area Friday through Sunday afternoon.

Lazerowitz is an intern at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and also runs a startup called Blu Arc Media that operates an out of home digital advertising network in Syracuse, and formerly did IT consulting work while in high school in the FLOW area.
