The following arrests were reported by the Franklin Lakes Police Department. An arrest is not a conviction. All were released pending a court date unless otherwise indicated.
July 21

After shoplifting what was estimated at the time to be $700 worth of razor blades from the Wyckoff Stop & Shop, Robert Paulter, 30, and Jennifer Chen, 28, both were charged with robbery after assaulting a store manager who confronted them. Stop & Shop Loss Prevention filed complaints on July 21 for the incident, alleging that both subjects are responsible for the theft of a total of $1000 worth of razor blade refills and dental white strips on July 18. Detective Sgt. Jeffrey Jost investigated.
A Terrace Road resident reported fraudulently credit card usage in his name by unknown persons. A fraudulent credit card had been opened by using the victim’s personal identification. Officer Jon Rynander investigated.

July 22
An Old Franklin Lake Road resident reported that unknown persons had stolen four tires and rims from his property. The total value of the stolen property was estimated to be $800. Detective Sgt. Jeffrey Jost investigated.
July 28
Officers responded to a complaint at approximately 10:30 p.m. of a large party on Ewing Avenue, Officers discovered that an unsupervised, underage party of approximately fifty teenagers involving the consumption of alcohol was occurring. The homeowner, Emina Namiotka, 44, was charged with Maintaining a Nuisance. A 17-year-old female Franklin Lakes resident was charged with Underage Possession of Alcohol. Sgt. Andrew Cacciatore, Officer Mark McCombs, Officer Donald Wilson, and Officer Gregory Albert investigated.
July 29
At approximately 10:30 p.m., officers received a call of a reported motor vehicle crash. After responding to the scene, Carol Albora, age 65 of Oakland, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Open Alcohol Container in a Motor Vehicle. Albora was travelling north on McCoy Rd when her vehicle ran off of the roadway, damaging a mailbox and striking a stone wall before crashing into a utility pole. Sgt. Andrew Cacciatore, Officer Mark McCombs, Officer Donald Wilson, and Officer Gregory Albert investigated.
