FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Borough police Officer Jon Rynander climbed to the summit of Mount Rainier recently, 14,410 feet above sea level.
Rynander planted an American flag at the summit. The flag had an "in memoriam" blue line on it in memory of those police officers who have died in the line of duty.
