Franklin Lakes Synagogue Vows Support for Menendez

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez was invited to speak at the Barnert Temple last Sunday and was introduced with glowing remarks, according to a report on PolitickerNJ.

Wyckoff resident and congregation member Josh Gottheimer said that “we will always have your back, because you’ve always had ours,” according to the report.

The crowd of over 100 answered the comments with resounding applause, the report stated.

The embattled New Jersey lawmaker has received support from Jewish communities thanks to his criticism of the Obama administration’s nuclear talks with Iran.

Reports have emerged that Menendez will have criminal charges filed against him by the Department of Justice. The charges allege that Menendez accepted gifts and huge sums of cash in exchange for business favors.
