Franklin Lakes Wife, Police Saves ODing Man's Life

The wife was administering CPR when police arrived at the couple's home Sunday night, authorities said.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A man's wife and police saved the life of a man who was overdosing on heroin Sunday night, authorities said.

Police responded to a Colonial Road residence just before 6:30 p.m. and found the man's wife administering CPR, said Capt. John Bakelaar.

Police determined the man had overdosed on heroin and administered him Narcan, Bakelaar said.

The man was revived and taken to Valley Hospital, the captain said.
