Free Butterfly Walks And Talks At Annual 'Butterfly Day' In North Jersey Sunday

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — Families, individuals, and anyone who admires the beauty of nature is encouraged to attend the annual free Butterfly Day this Sunday, co-hosted by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and Bergen County Audubon Society.

There are tours, talks, a kids' costume contest, information tables, music, and more.

The day takes place this Sunday, July 23, at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date is July 30.

The family-friendly program "explores the significance of these winged marvels and showcases the Meadowlands’ unique urban ecosystem," organizers say.
