Fugitive Who Sold 80 Lbs. Of Pot To Detective Extradited To NJ

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A fugitive who sold 80 pounds of marijuana to an undercover detective in 2010 has been extradited to Bergen County, authorities announced.
James S. Norton, 46, distributed the marijuana to the detective in 2010, said Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
Norton was charged and pled guilty to distribution of marijuana in a quantity greater than 25 pounds and was then a fugitive from justice, Grewal said.

Norton was later arrested and incarcerated in Canada on an unrelated charge. On Thursday the United States Marshals Service returned him to the United States and he was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, Grewal said.
Norton faces up to eight years in New Jersey State prison if convicted on the distribution charge.
