Homeowner Reports $4,900 Taken From Envelope In Closet, Police Say

A Wyckoff homeowner reported that $4,900 was stolen from his home, Wyckoff police said.

The man said that he and his wife had been saving money but putting it in an envelope in a closet, police said.

He found out the money was missing when he went to put more money into the envelop and found it empty, police said.

The man told police that a housekeeper has access to the home’s closets, police said.

Patrolman Kyle Ferreira investigated in the incident.
