Homicide Under Investigation At Bergen County Home: Prosecutor

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A homicide is under investigation after police found the victim dead Sunday morning in a Franklin Lakes home, officials said. [UPDATE: A suspect has been taken into custody and charged with first degree murder. See the story here.]

Police responded to 552 Haddon Pl. at about 7:40 a.m. and found the deceased individual, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office (BCPO).

Authorities have withheld the victim's name, pending notification of next of kin.

The BCPO and Franklin Lakes Police Department are investigating the matter. No other information was available as of Sunday afternoon.
