'I Believe We Can Do Better,' Garrett Opponent Says In First Campaign Video

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Congressional candidate Josh Gottheimer thinks that North Jersey’s best days “are ahead of us” he said in his first campaign video.
Gottheimer, a township resident and former speechwriter for President Bill Clinton, released the video this week. He is running to represent New Jersey's 5th Congressional District and unseat longtime Republican incumbent Scott Garrett.

“I decided to run because I believe we can do better,” Gottheimer said in the three-minute long video.
Gottheimer is a fiscally conservative, socially progressive democrat.

The 5th district includes portions of Bergen, Passaic, Warren, and Sussex counties. In Bergen the municipalities include: Fair Lawn, Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, Hillsdale, Mahwah, New Milford, Oakland, Paramus, Ramsey, Ridgewood, Teaneck, Township of Washington, Westwood, and Wyckoff.
