Kimchi Mama Opens Second Bergen County Location
The 2nd location has something the 1st one does not: Seats. And plenty of them.
A popular Bergen County restaurant has opened a second location with something people have been clamoring for since the first one opened: Tables and chairs.
Kimchi Mama started as a take-out and delivery Korean restaurant in Fair Lawn three years ago. People loved the food, but wanted to sit and enjoy it at the restaurant.
Now, patrons can do that at Kimchi Mama's second Bergen County location in Palisades Park. The restaurant opened a location in West Caldwell earlier this year with seating, but people, and the restaurant, wanted more.

"We were limited to what was suitable for take-out," said owner Leslie Newport. "We are now able to do all the delicious Korean food items our other restaurant couldn't."
The menu has expanded to match the new setting, one that allows chefs to create new dishes that can be served the they they were intended, Newport said. Soups that come boiling and bubbling right to your table, bibimbap that's served in a fire-hot stone bowl, and traditional Korean shaved ice served with ice cream."

The new two-story restaurant in can seat up to 150 guests and two private party rooms that can seat between 25 and 60 people.
Kimchi Mama will host a grand opening Saturday, from 3 to 6 p.m. with free samples and complimentary wine.
"We are so excited to share our new restaurant with our faithful customers because we would be nowhere without the support of four foodie-loving patrons," Newport said.
