Letter: One Wyckoff Team Will Bring Transparency And Non-Partisan Thinking To Town Committee
Resident is 'eager to see Scanlan, Rubenstein and Pappalardo bring their diverse perspectives and talents to township government.'

To the editor:
It is with great enthusiasm that I will be casting my vote for the One Wyckoff ticket of Brian Scanlan, Melissa Rubenstein and Carla Pappalardo for Township Committee in the June 6 primary election.
My relationship with the One Wyckoff ticket began with Melissa Rubenstein. I have come to know Melissa through a variety of her roles about town — as a fellow mom to a rising kindergartener, as the treasurer of the Board of the Wyckoff Newcomers and Neighbors Club, and as a local realtor. I have witnessed Melissa offer solid and informed advice during newcomers board meetings, and, because we first met at an open house, I have seen her at work. Whether Melissa is on the job at a local listing or conversing with other parents as we watch our children at the playground, she is open, resourceful and an advocate for our town.

Through Melissa I have come to know Brian Scanlan and Carla Pappalardo. As long-time residents actively involved in the community, they bring a wealth of professional experience and local knowledge to the Township Committee table, and a perspective of town life that will differ from Melissa’s. Brian has served our community with such commitment and attention to its citizens; I am happy that he will be offering his reason and know-how to our town once again. Carla would bring yet another unique perspective to our town’s governing body. Her impressive resumé of both professional work and volunteerism on local committees shows a commitment to working effectively with others.
I am eager to see Scanlan, Rubenstein and Pappalardo bring their diverse perspectives and talents to our Township Committee this fall. I hope that you’ll visit their OneWyckoff.org site and contact these highly approachable candidates to learn more about their desire to sustain our town’s affordability, to bring transparency and independent, non-partisan thinking to our local government and to continue to support our wonderful town’s impressive list of volunteer organizations and recreation programs.
