To the Editor:
Chris Della Pietra has my complete support for election to the BOE. As a one year incumbent, Chris has demonstrated the qualities and skills that are critical to having a successful board.
He correctly understands the roles of being a board member and digs deep into the materials and issues so he is well informed of all perspectives. With this information, he offers his opinion and makes decisions that are considerate of all the stakeholders involved — even those who are not present. As representatives of the community, board members should represent all taxpayers. Chris does this well.

Chris also listens to others, considers their input, offers his own, and is flexible enough to accept the recommendations of others over his own. Likewise, he clearly explains his opinion on matters, informs his fellow board members, and gains their support in issues where he has a unique expertise or perspective.
Chris consistently commits his time, works hard, takes on tough assignments, and produces results that benefit the school district, the students and the residents. When he started, he joined the Finance Committee and chaired the Facilities Committee. With the help of Business Administrator Alan Reiffe, Chris quickly learned how school finance is unique and different from the corporate finance he already knew. On facilities, he has been through all of our buildings and has been brought up to full speed on the mechanical, fiscal and technological challenges that are ahead. His legal expertise has contributed tremendously in negotiating new agreements with future suppliers. Chris's expertise will ensure that Wyckoff gets the most for its money.
Chris has proven himself to be key board member who works well with all of the members on the Wyckoff BOE.
Wyckoff students and residents will benefit if Chris Della Pietra is elected.
