Man Arrested At Colonial Road School In Franklin Lakes With Marijuana

Fabian Colthirst, 26 was in a 'suspicious vehicle' near the school, police said.

Police arrested a Maplewood man after he was found in a ”suspicious vehicle” at the Colonial Road School early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Franklin Lakes Police checked suspicious vehicles parked at the school shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Lt. John Bakelaar said.

Fabian Colthirst, 26, of Maplewood, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance on school property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended driver’s license, police said.

In related news, Antony Rios, 34, of Paterson was arrested after a motor vehicle stop shortly after midnight Tuesday, police said.

Rios was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to pay child support issued by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, police said. Rios was cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license and turned over to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department.
