Man Found With 100 Grams Of Marijuana In Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve: Police

Man was charged with possession with intent to distribute, police said.

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — A man was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after police found him with more than 100 grams of the substance in the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve Monday night, authorities said.

Police investigated a suspicious vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. on High Mountain Road, said Capt. John Bakelaar.

Police arrested Brandon Rodriguez, 18, of Woodland Park, after conducting an investigation, Bakelaar said.

Rodriguez was also charged with possession of THC wax and possession of drug paraphernalia, the captain said.

Authorities found Rodriguez in the North Haledon section of the nature preserve and he was charged in that municipality's municipal court, police said.
