Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Franklin Lakes: Police
19-year-old allegedly met 3 people on Vichiconti Way to purchase alcohol, police said.
FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. - A 19-year-old Hawthorne man was robbed at gunpoint early in the morning March 4 after he met three people on Vichiconti Way to purchase alcohol, said Detective Lt. John Bakelaar.
Police were notified of the incident Tuesday.
The man entered a car and cash was exchanged, Bakelaar said. One person brandished a handgun and, took the man’s backpack, and ordered him out of the car, police said.

The man had $30 and his backpack stolen from him, Bakelaar said. The detective bureau is investigating the incident.
