Man Sexually Assaulted Child Under 13 In 2 Bergen County Towns: Prosecutor
A man was charged for sexually assaulting a child under 13 in two different Bergen County towns, prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man was charged for sexually assaulting a child under 13 in two different Bergen County towns, prosecutors said.
Arturo Velazco, 37, of Fairview, was arrested on Wednesday, April 24, prosecutors said.
On that day, the Fairview Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that occurred in the past, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

An investigation by prosecutors determined that Velazco had sexually assaulted a juvenile under the age of 13 in Fairview and in Cliffside Park, officials said.
He was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arrested in Paramus and taken to the Bergen County Jail for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
