Marijuana, Warrant Arrests Occurred In Franklin Lakes This Week

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Here is a summary of police activity that occurred in the borough this week.

• Police stopped a vehicle on Route 287 Sunday morning and arrested Abdullah Elailla, 19, of Hawthorne, said Capt. John Bakelaar. Elailla was charged with possession of marijuana and throwing debris from a motor vehicle, Bakelaar said.
• Francis Taormina, 34, of Ramsey, was arrested June 13 on an outstanding warrant out of Carteret, Bakelaar said. Taormina was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 202; he also received citations for speeding, driving with a suspended license and displaying unclear license plates, police said.
