McFaul Environmental Center Gingerbread Creation Contest Underway

The James A. McFaul Environmental Center in Wyckoff receives dozens of gingerbread creations every year. Here's how to enter.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Think you're a cut above when it comes to making gingerbread houses? Want to put your talents on display this holiday season?

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners have invited the public to participate in the annual James A. McFaul Environmental Center Gingerbread Creation Contest.

Entries will be accepted from Dec. 6 to Dec. 13. There is a $5 registration fee.

Every year, the James A. McFaul Environmental Center in Wyckoff receives dozens of Gingerbread Creations, ranging from standard house designs to more extravagant scenes. Contestants are encouraged to be as creative as they would like, county officials said.

Entries will be judged by “People’s Choice” from Dec. 6 to Jan. 24, 2022. Every submission will receive a ribbon and certificate.
