Men Charged With Wyckoff YMCA Vehicle Burglaries
BREAKING: The men crashed the vehicle they were driving in Upper Saddle River and fled on foot, setting off a manhunt, police said.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — Two Florida men were charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft after police said they broke into several vehicles at the Wyckoff YMCA and fled, leading police on a multi-town vehicle chase and manhunt.
Wyckoff police responded to the YMCA shortly after 9 a.m. on a report that several vehicles that been burglarized and property taken from them, said Chief David Murphy.
At that same time, Allendale police officers were pursuing a vehicle that failed to stop for them, the chief said. Occupants threw items out of the vehicle and fled on foot after the vehicle crashed in Upper Saddle River, Murphy said.

Tony D. Spells and La Quez Boyd were found after Allendale, Upper Saddle River, and Mahwah police officers, a Bergen County Sheriff's Office K9 unit, and other law enforcement officials searched for them after they fled the vehicle.
Wyckoff police matched the vehicle Allendale police pursued to one seen in surveillance footage of the YMCA.

Spells and Boyd, both 19 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were each charged with three counts of burglary three counts of theft. Bail for each man was set at $25,000 with no 10 percent option. They were remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
The Allendale and Upper Saddle River police departments also filed charges against Spells and Boyd.
