From the start of my campaign, I knew the best way to win a seat on the Wyckoff Township Committee was to be myself, to explain what I have done for the community, and to speak with as many folks as I could so that I’m prepared to respond to their concerns. It’s also important for me to express my sincere desire to work with the Township Committee on both sides of the aisle. That’s why I believe that the best team for the good of Wyckoff is Pappalardo and Shanley.
As an 18-year Wyckoff resident, I often felt that I didn’t know what was going on with our local government behind closed doors, and I felt that I had no say in big decisions that were being made for all of us. That’s why my campaign slogan is “Opening the Right Doors for Wyckoff”, because everyone in town has the right to know, and the right to have a voice in, what goes on at Town Hall. It also means that every qualified individual who wishes to serve on a town board or committee will receive equal consideration, no matter what their political affiliation. We should no longer tolerate nepotism or favoritism when filling these important posts.
In addition, I feel strongly about spending our tax dollars wisely in ways that will benefit the most people. Some of our spending may be curtailed in sensible ways, so that we continue to enjoy the same quality of life for a smaller price tag. I’ll do everything I can to make this happen. And I’ll fight hard alongside my teammates to address the disproportionate property tax burden we are being asked to carry by the federal government.

What’s more, we must do something about the water being delivered to our homes. Our lives and our health depend on it, and it’s time to pull the plug on Ridgewood Water’s double-talk. They’re costing every Wyckoff household the added expenses of bottled water and purification systems because they provide a substandard product. Enough.
I feel that my experiences as both a Wyckoff resident and a Wyckoff mom have taught me that we can make our town even better. And my track record as a trial lawyer and a labor relations advocate have given me the skill set I’ll need to be a positive and productive member of the Wyckoff Township Committee.

In closing, I’d like to say that as an educated, highly qualified candidate, I have no reason to falsely attack anyone. For my part, I have carefully crafted my campaign messages to clearly present my platform. I have the utmost respect for the people of Wyckoff, and if elected on November 6th, I pledge to represent them with truth. No one will work harder for everyone than I will.
