NBC Squashes 'Smash' after 2 Seasons
The musical drama featured Wyckoff's Nick Jonas.
NBC has cancelled the musical drama “Smash,” which once featured Wyckoff’s Nick Jonas, after just two seasons.
The news comes from Hollywood insider Deadline.com in a week where the big networks announced what shows were getting the can and which pilots were being picked up.
“Smash was a passion project for NBC topper Bob Greenblatt, which he originally developed at Showtime and brought with him to NBC,” according to Deadline.com’s Nellie Andreeva.

Jonas appeared in the show early last year in the role of young musician and TV star, Lyle West. He appeared on the show during a whirlwind span that included a staring role as J. Pierrepont Finch in Broadway’s “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
The final episode of Smash is scheduled to air on May 26.
